 David Stanton, MS is a state licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 18 years of experience in the field of counseling, social work and psychotherapy. In addition to his private practice, David is currently working as a Senior Mental Health Counselor in Sacramento County as part of a multi-disciplinary team addressing severe and persistent mental illness. David has focused his clinical attention in the area of addictive behavior with specific emphasis on sexual addiction. He completed his licensure internship in 2003 in the treatment of Juvenile Sex Offenders (JSO) and currently is an associate at LifeSTAR Sacramento, addressing the growing need of those struggling with compulsive/addictive sexual behavior. David is a member of the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (CAMFT)and lives in Elk Grove with his wife and three children.
